|Laura Cox||RE: John G. Price cemetery|
Unfortunately, it's well away from the road on a private farm and is terribly damaged from cattle. The photos posted were taken a number of years ago, so I can only imagine the condition it would be in now.
I'm very interested in your friend - is he a direct descendant of John G Price? I'm part of a large group of Price descendants who share research. I live near Clay County and have been working hard to get William Jewell College to restore another Price cemetery that they are supposed to be responsible for. That cemetery contains John G Price's mother, Susan Gano Price and other descendants. Here's a link to her findagrave page: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSsr=41&GSmid=47585167&GRid=83710168&
The Price Slaughter Cemetery (where Susan Gano Price is buried) is somewhat accessible if you are able to walk about 1/4 mile on rough ground through a high field of corn. If you live in the area and would like to visit it, I can meet you and assist you with finding it. It's hidden and can be difficult to find, particularly at any time other than winter.
I have quite a few original documents related to this family in my Ancestry tree. If you or your friend are on Ancestry, please let me know your user name and I'll send you an invitation to my tree. You may find things there that help you with your research or add to what you already have.
If your friend is a direct male descendant - I would really like to speak with him about DNA testing.
Sorry - this is (I'm sure) much more information than you were after. If you find it easier to communicate by private email, please contact me at email@example.com. I'm always thrilled to hear from any Price descendant.
|Donna Zillner||Mary's birthdate|
Hi Tony! I am your cousin, Bernie Zillner's widow. I was doing some family history & I have one of the little flyers/pamphlets, or whatever you call them, from your mother's funeral & it has her birthdate as Dec 28, 1928. I'm guessing that is incorrect? Please let me know. firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for what you are doing! Let me know if I can help on anything.
Hope to hear from you. Had contact with your brother, Todd, abt 10 yrs ago, but have lost him now.

Hi Tony - I think your project sounds terrific. Please feel free to use any headstone picture I have taken for Clay County soliders. Best wishes on your continued work to preserve Clay County History.
|Deb||Re: Request to use my F.A.G. photos|
First, let me say I appreciate everything you and other volunteers are doing at the Clay County Archives and Historical Society.
And of course, YES, you may use any of my photos and documents I have posted on f.a.g.
I would like to know if the proceeds from your book will be used to support the existence and work of the CCAHS???
