RE: Charles Thomas Stump correction
Nancy,
Let me repeat - I did not link Charles to Mary Estelle and can't remove it. I agree this is not his wife. The person who manages Mary Estelle's memorial needs to remove it. If they refuse, I could attempt to make a request to findagrave to have it fixed but I can do no more.

RE: Charles Thomas Stump correction
This particular Charles Thomas Stump was born in 1915 - please read the tombstone. There are several people with the same name. According to the 1940 census, this Charles was married to a "Mary" but she was born in 1918 so not the same "Mary Estelle" born in 1930. Perhaps he was married twice? I could not easily find this information. I won't change the dates to be different than the marker.

RE: correction on Charles Thomas Stump
Nancy you are going to have to the correction made from Mary Estelle's memorial. I went into Charles Stump's memorial to remove it and it was not there to be removed. I can only assume it was added from Mary Estelle's memorial by someone. Unfortunately, anyone can suggest edits. In this case the error looks obvious.

Charles Lewis Wheeling
Yes Nancy I know Charles Lewis Wheeling is not buried in the WHEELING Family Cemetery. I have made several request to the persons posting him here, however they insist that he is buried in the Wheeling Family Cemetery. Thanks for your post.

RE: Wheeling/Young Cem.
Hi Nancy

I'm not familiar with that one. But I will ask Don & Fran Poole if they perhaps know where it might be. They were the ones who did a lot of the photos and directions/GPS of the cemeteries in eastern Montgomery Co. I'm just helping them by posting their records on Find a Grave. I'll let you know what I find.

Directions to Wheeling Cemetery
WHE-1 Wheeling Cemetery - Den Hill Road (county rd 641)

GPS N 37.16095 by W -80.33089

12 Jul 2006 Wednesday
The cemetery is located along the left/sw side of county road 641 (Den Hill Road), and visible from 641, the site is about 1.54 miles west of US 11/ US 460. The Cemetery is located on top of a pretty steep knoll, it can be easily reached with a 4wd vehicle or a difficult walk. The walk from Den Hill Road up to the cemetery is about 133 yards (399 feet). However it is on private property, permission is advisable. Most of the tombstones are legible however a number on them have been hand made and not readable as of this date. There are a few rock/field stone markers. The west protective fence is broken down which allows cattle and animals to get into the cemetery. Grounds care is minimal, some of the markers have fallen over or sunk, and a couple are broken.

Garlick Cemetary Directions
Hi Nancy

The Garlick Cemetary is adjacent to the Bell-Sowder Cemetery. On the Bell-Sowder Cemetery link there is a photo which shows the relationship between where the two cemeteries are located. The Garlick Cemetery is not as well maintained.

Here are the directions for the Bell-Sowder Cemetery:

Cemetery notes and/or description:
From US11/US 460 in Shawsville VA the cemetery is located 2.45 miles south staying on Boners Run. Going just a short distance past the end state maintenance sign, cemetery is on the right. The Cemetery is on a private road. The cemetery has had good care, and it is chain link fenced. There are quite a few plane stone markers. The engraved markers are in mixed condition, some are in pretty good condition and some are in poor condition mostly due to age. There appear to be approximately 23 marked graves and the plain stone markers are not counted, The cemetery is adjacent to the Garlic Cemetery.

Wheeling Cemetery
Can you give me direction to this cemetery? I know of the Den Hill Cemetery at Nt. Calvary Baptist Church, but I do not know how to find the Wheeling Cemetery. I do lots of genealogy and am researching the Richardson Family.
