Ernest W. "Pappy" Pappenfus, 81, of Temecula, Calif., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died of lymphoma Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, in Rancho Springs Medical Center, Temecula. Services: 10 a.m. today, St. Catherine's Church, Temecula.
Survivors include his wife, Rita; two sons, James of Concord, Calif., and John of Lamore, Calif.; a daughter, Karen Wood of Herndon, Va.; and two brothers, Norbert of St. Cloud, Minn., and Wilfred of Dallas.
