Bio and Links
Bio Photo The Vermont Society of Sons of the American Revolution (VTSSAR) purpose is to keep alive among ourselves and our descendants and in the community, the patriotic spirit of the men who achieved American Independence; to collect and secure for preservation manuscript rolls, records and other documents relating to the War of the Revolution; and to promote social intercourse and good fellowship among it members.

The VTSSAR is the Vermont State segment of The Sons of the American Revolution the leading male lineage society that perpetuates the ideals of the American war for independence. As a historical, educational, and patriotic, non-profit corportation and organized under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, the Society seeks to maintain and expand the meaning of patriotism, respect for our national symbols, the value of American citizenship, and the unifying force of "e pluribus unum" that was created from the people of many nations --- "one nation and one people".

Peabody Kinne, b 1757.
According to the biography on Peabody's page, he had an older daughter who was already married and out of the household by the 1800 Census. Do you know the name of that child and possibly the man she married? I appreciate your help. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=75023051

All the best!

Lewis Jacobs
Good evening,
Would you have anything on who was the wife of Lewis Jacobs 88262897? I had her as Sarah Ripley but I have someone from Rochester, NY working on being tied to the Revolutionary War under Lewis and he says that Sarah was the sister of Joshua Barns. You have a lot of his military records but no family. Any ideas?
Thanks, Alan

We are tracing the family of Lewis Jacobs on behalf of a descendant that lives near Rochester, NY. We have a question regarding the identification of the wife of Lewis Jacobs.
The Gravestone just says Sarah but the information on the Find-a-Grave says Sarah Ripley Jacobs. the pension file for Lewis Jacobs has a affidavit from Joshua Barns that he is the brother of Sara Jacobs wife of Lewis.
Do you have any documentation to support the name of "Ripley"
