I have been a Find A Grave member since August of 2012.|
What brought me here was working on my geneology. Now I am a "graving enthusiast". I found through this site that everyone deserves to be remembered...no matter where they are located... thus the adventure began. Each marker is a work of art. I especially like photographing old gravestones even though it is much more challenging due to the affects of weather and time.
I like working on one cemetery at a time, taking photos and making notes but will also do requests at other cemeteries in my area.
I would like to thank all the contributors to Find A Grave for their hours and dedication - whether it be canvasing a graveyard or entering a transcription or photo. It is your collective work that makes this an awesome site.

I am doing my geneology and seen your web site on South Sparta Church Cemetery, and would like to talk to someone there about them. I have three Familrys there the Wilkening's, Mulford's, and Dohme's.I have some questions for them. You can reach to at firstname.lastname@example.org

Hi Carol, Thank you for the offer to go back to retake the marker picture; however, I'm only about an hour away from that cemetery so should be able to get back there. I now delete the cemetery marker pictues for find-a-grave memorials which I take when I'm 'out and about' but thought it worth a try to see if you kept yours. Again, thanks. mrs

Hi Carol, Thank you for taking pictures and adding tokens to the memorials for those buried in Union Methodist Church Cemetery. I am hoping that you took and kept a picture of the shared marker for James and Ellen J. Wheeler ("James Wheeler Feb. 23, 1835 - Mar. 14, 1862 Ellen J. Wheeler Mar. 9, 1836 - Mar. 29, 1910") as the picture taken in May of 2010 has a terrible reflection of the photographer - either my husband or me! If you have a picture I would very much appreciate having you put it on both of their memorials. I'll put in a photo request if you find that you have the picture. mrs

Charles Bradford is my 3rd great grandfather who is a Mayflower descendant.
I see you sponsor the grave and I have been looking for a picture of the headstone. I also need to know if Julia Dresser is buried next to him.
I would appreciate any information you can provide.

Hi Carol, Thanks so much for your effort! I just looked at my research shows his wife Margaretha Emenegger is buried there so I assumed he was too. I'll check with the church to see if they have any location info. I'll let you know if I find anything. Thanks again! Lori

Thank you so much for taking and posting the pictures of the Croxton gravestones in the South Sparta Church Cemetery. Some of these folks are ancestors of my son-in-law. Dave Tyler
