Hi, you left me a message about a problem on my brothers marker (Aug 1 2012). After talking with my dad, I do not believe there is a marker. He does not remember ordering one. I did contact the cemetery, the very nice lady there could not find any information on my brother. But I do know for sure that is where he was buried, just cannot find the obit. As soon as I can find out where he may actually be buried I will be starting on getting a headstone for him. Thank you for your work on this, I wish I had more info. Even 54 years after my brothers death it's hard for him to talk about and my mom never spoke of him, and it's too late to ask her, unfortunately.

if you don't want to call for the location, you can email them here: http://www.restlandfuneralhome.com/home/contact_us.html
it usually takes them a week to respond.

I would be happy to fill your photo requests at Restland cemetery, however I need the grave location. Can you call them at 972 238 7111 and get the location. I should be going out there within the next week.

You are correct. It does not say CSA. My other research showed (Union Army). I corrected the inscription.
I found it on the Shilo Cemetery on Cemeteries of Texas, Jones County and copied it.
"Sgt Co L 13 KY Cav CSA (DD)"
Since it showed no dates, I decided to research this individual for more information
I got your message about the location of Betty Lou CHANEY Stewarts grave. I did call the funeral home and they do not keep records of burial location if it isn't in their facility, so that was no help. Tried calling someone at the cemetery with no luck, so guess my request won't be able to be forfilled unless someone just happens to have the photo. I appreciate all you have tried to do.

No it's not Greenwood Cemetery anywhere. It's just a picture of a chapel.

Thank you so much for the wonderful pict. of the stone. Do you mind if I use it in my tree?

I am in the process of trying to find a location for my cousin buried in Fairview Cemetery in Midland. I will contact you if I find out anything. Sorry for the delay. I have been on vacation.

(From the Find A Grave Help link)
Unless the legal name contains a hyphen, punctuation, including the () and /, should not be included in the memorial name. Full capitalization (ALL-CAPS) of names should not be used, whether it be surname or the full name.
To me, all-caps on a memorial anywhere is just tacky, like it would be hollering real loud in the funeral home.
Thanks for asking, and thanks for being considerate enough to. I wish you lots of good grave hunting and hope to return the favor someday.
