RE: Lavern Thein
Hi. I've transfered the page as requested. Yes, I live in the Waterloo area and would be able to locate the grave and get a photo but I will be out of town for a week or so. When I get back, if the photo request is still in place, I'll see what I can do.

RE: Photo of Albert and Anna Pratt marker
Hi, Your welcome, glad to help. Yes, this cemetery is in Buchanan County just north of Winthrop, Iowa about 3-4 miles right along the highway. When i get there again i will take a better photo and post it so the dates are clearer. Albert's dates on the stone were 1879-1934. When we were out the other day, i do remember seeing a few other Pratt's. If there is any thing i can do to help, would be glad to do it. I enjoy the investigating.

Thanks, Leo Offerman

RE: Transfer management of certain memorials
Jeff,
I had her last name as Mitchell Brown, so you probably couldn't find her for that reason. Hoping you can link 1st husband to her??

It IS a small world. Uncle Billie did have throat cancer. He had that hole in his throat from the first time I recall meeting him at 5 yrs old which would have been about 1962.

I don't recall every meeting Mary Louise but I am sure I did.

I never was in Allerton growing up, except for a few funerals. I would go with my mom. Norma Jean KNAPP. I was born in Des Moines.

I don't know anyone you referenced personally but I bet I have their memorials! :-). I have photographed entire cemeteries in Wayne County. I wish you lived here! I would love to have someone to roam the cemeteries with. There are many I still want to do. To darn hot currently.
My dad's family is from Fremont Iowa and I have done the important cemeteries in Mahaska and Keokuk county.

My X husband's family was from Corydon. I found out as I have been doing my genealogy, that my X huband's cousins and me are cousins and share the same 3rd great grandparents. We share several other cousin connections. That was quite a strange coincidence. Most of his family and my family are all buried in Allerton and Corydon and Evergreen in Lineville. His lines are Coffey, Duden...among others. Some...are buried in the same rows as my family surnames. Amazing.

Anyway, if you want you can always contact me by email to talk genealogy. dr40rocky@aol.com

Regards!!

RE: Transfer management of certain memorials
Mary Louise was my 1st cousin 1 generation removed. Her father William Knapp Jr. (uncle Billie) and my grandfather Floyd E. Knapp, were brothers.

Mary Louise and I share the same grandparents Minnie Jones Knapp and William Knapp Sr. (my great grandparents and Mary Louise's grandparents)

I have photographed all of Corydon. Are you sure I don't have the one you are looking for? I used the Wayne county cemetery book added all the memorial and then walked the entire cemetery and photographed, grave by grave.

RE: Transfer management of certain memorials
I have transferred the ones you ask for. PLEASE take good care of them! Most of them have mutual family ties to me through my Knapp lines. Also I have photographed all of Allerton and Corydon cemeteries and am working to link all family.

A few you asked me for are not mine. They belong to a cousin in law Virginia Markham. Virginia is related also through Knapp lines.

It appears you may be using Find A Grave to build your family tree (same as me). Just be sure to respond quickly to people that may request edits to your memorials and if you loose interest in Find A Grave, I would appreciate the memorials transferred back to me.

Thanks
Dana
