RE: George Engle - Part 2
Nope, I got it. I added a slightly different picture for Annie. If you prefer one over the other and want me to switch, let me know. Les

RE: George Engle - Part 2
Sure! Do you have a photo request in for her? What's her name?

RE: George Engle
Hi Debbie,
Yes, the office does have records available. They are very helpful. Since I live nearby (kind of - about 45 minutes), I don't call the office, but have received help with plot information and who else is in the plot when I've gone into the office.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!

George W Engle pictures
I took several other pictures of Engle's headstone. The one I attached to your photo request appears to be the best. All are difficult to read. Email me privately if you wish me to send the others to you.

Emile Levy in Old Mt. Carmel
I believe he *is* in Mt. Carmel.

He is on JewishData, was photographed there. Their site is iffy in a lot of ways, and expensive, but they've been fine for verifying the Mt. Carmels (Find A Grave had three or four entries for the cemetery, old Mt Carmel, New Mt. Carmel and just Mt Carmel, until recently).

You may encounter that many of the Jewish cemeteries had sections owned and run by various benevolent associations, and the associations, I'm told, kept the records of their own interments, sometimes aside from the cemetery.

I have hundreds of photos from Mt. Zion and Washington and Baron Hirsch in Staten Island etc that seem to bear this out since the cemeteries clearly have gravemarkers there, while the cemetery says it has no record of a burial to match. The older the burial, the less likely the cemetery will have complete records (true of any cemetery I suppose...)

I don't know how to contact any of these societies or know which area Mr. Levy is in, but his marker does have the dates posted, and his name on it is Emile, not Emil.

JewishData doesn't post what areas a gravemarker is found in, either...

I hope this is helpful, a little. Someone may decide to take on the task of photographing that cemetery, though I recently drove by there and photographed next door -- it doesn't have the curb appeal of many of the others in that complex of graveyards. Maybe someone else will feel the "call."

You're very welcome. Please feel free to share the photos with family and in your tree. I've just transferred the Ronald Aviano memorial to you. I also found I was "the owner" of Matthew Aviano's memorial. (I must have created it when I was doing a request nearby.) I've transferred that memorial to you as well.
Have a good one....Glenn

Hi Debbie,
I got the pictures you requested for May & Anthony Aviano in Holy Sepulchre. Two graves away (in 170) is Ronald Aviano (1934-1983). I created a memorial and posted a picture to it. If he's related, I'm happy to transfer.
Have a good one...

Please use the edit tab or send a SAC if you do find anything you wish to add to the rest of the memorials with that surname.

Debbie you will have to ask Phyllis who took the photos is the background headstone is a family marker as she is the one who took the photo. I have the transcript and it doesn't say. There are the 4 buried side by side then the other one with Wetlaufer as the spelling.
