I started doing this because my Mom loves genealogy. She has been on Find a Grave for many years and contributed enormously. On occasion, she has taken me with her to look for graves. It gives her so much pleasure when someone sends a photo to her. Knowing how this affects my Mom, I want to give someone else that same momentary elation. I enjoy history and those who have walked this earth before us are history.|
Feel free to use any photos that I have submitted. I am not the type to get riled up if seeing a photo that I took on someone else's site...it didn't cost me anything to take it!....well maybe the gas to get there :)

Hello! Do you know who William Keels was married to? The person that took the
picture said he was buried by his wife and children? How can I get those names?
Thank you for your time.

Thank you so much Cindy, for the tombstone photo.

I believe the request was just claimed yesterday and has not yet been fulfilled. The person claiming it is quite active in the area so I feel certain it will be fulfilled shortly. Thank you very much.
|Marion David Nesbitt||RE: Singleton Cemetery|
I am aware that there are two separate Singleton Cemeteries in Sumter County. The older, more historic one, is located near Poinsett State Park. The other is off Kingsbury Rd. nearer to Sumter. I've been to both. As for changing the GPS location, I'm not sure how to do that but I will do what I can to find out. The older cemetery is located in an isolated area and has many reptiles crawling around in the warmer months of the year. Anyone going there should be alert for rattlesnakes; one nearly got me.

Cindy, I just realized that you also took a photo of John Charles Strother's headstone and I just wanted to send a 'thank you' also. Your kindness is unparalleled in words of gratitude and I hope you have a wonderful day and may God bless you.
