I was thrilled to be able to find information on my Grandfather. Not only that but having pictures of my Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother are priceless. We always knew that there was a name change but never knew what the original name was, now the mystery has been solved. Thank you so much.

That would be awesome! I will let Trudy know and we thank you for clearing up this mystery I wish they were all so easy.

Hello I see you have Ella Hayes listed in your line with Hakes can you tell me where she comes in?It looks like she is listed as a wife to Stanley Hakes was he by chance a 1st husband? I am helping a friend and she says Ella and Sam Alderson both died with in a month of each other, which I see you have too. It could well be she had a previous marriage as Trudy did not marry Lloyd till near the time Ella passed. Ella was her husbands mothers ( Golden Hayes) sister and their mother was also a Ella but not sure of her maiden name yet.Sorry just trying to work it all out here :)
Thank you :) Angelique

You are very welcome. I found some of my ancestors while I was there. I also have pictures of Ella 1860 (Only date on stone) & Ruth 1838-1865. They are next to William & Mary, If you would like to create a memorial for them, I will gladly add the pictures. I already added the picture to Sephrona.

You are very welcome, it was a fun road trip. My 3X great grandparents Nathaniel & Mary Jane Abbott are also buried there, plus his mother Rachel. They farmed not far from the cemetery.

You are very welcome!
Thanks a whole bunch Charisse! I did look at the Polk county, OR rootsweb site and did find where she and her husband Mordecai had at least 3 sons and one daughter. They were among the earliest to settle in the Polk co. area. Looks like M. might have been born in NC but zippo on her...sigh...
thanks again for all the work you are doing!

I know this sounds strange but I don't know if this Julia A. Kennedy is 'mine'. For years I have tried to find out what happened to Julia Wilcox Kennedy born in Brookfield, Madison, NY between 1810 and 1814. Julia was divorced from her husband Avery Kennedy (they lived in PA)and she 'disappears'. I just thought it such a coincidence that there were Wilcoxs and Kennedys in the same cemetery. If you know of any resources there in Polk county where I could find out more about this Julia Kennedy I would love to hear more.

Can you tell me who the parents of William R. Wilcox were? Also, do you know if by chance he was related to Julia A. Kennedy who is also buried in the same cemetery?
