Hi - You'll find his obit in the Evening Tribune San Diego, California newspaper dated 12/01/1897 & the San Diego Union Newspaper dated 12/02/1897. He was married to Adelia (King) Gross and they had a daughter Glayds Gross. Adelia was born in Illinois, and Glayds in California. Carol

Richard A. Gross
Hi - I need to make a correction on the information I gave you Jessie (Wood)Gross was born in Mamouth, Illinois not Aurora, Illinois. Her father Thomas Wood was born there, as well as her mother Hattie Quinn. Jessie in 1911 married Albert Holslag in Chicago, Cook county, Illinois on 07/10/1911. They both are buried in Mount Olive Cemetery in Aurora Illinois. Sorry Carol (Gross) Livingston, Johnson.

Richard A Gross
Hi - Richard A. Gross is my grandfathers brother, Richard was born 09/13/1871 and died 05/05/1900 in Cicero Illinois. He married Jessie Woods b:1876 on 05/27/1896 in Kane county, Illinois. They had 3 children Evelyn, Richard, & Harry. Richard stepped on a nail at work and died of an infection from that nail. Jessie Woods parents are Thomas J. Woods & Hattie Hood of Aurora Illinois. I have this Gross family going back to 1040 in England. I hope this helps. Carol (Gross) Livingston, Johnson.

I am also thrilled about the death certificates. I was planning to do what you are doing when I get home. It is going to take me extra time to go thru those edits because I am related to most of those people and need to update my own records as well.

RE: Paladino Photo Request

Please note that I created a memorial for her husband, Joseph. I plan to place to have his obituary on the memorial, soon. Would you like the memorial transferred to you?
