Rogers Family
Hi, again. I apologize for taking so long to respond to your nice note, but life has been hectic recently! I don't think the Lawrence Wood book is still available, but I do have copies of all the pages that I need. Rogers is my married name, and Nichols was my maiden name. My husband Terry descends from Revolutionary War soldier Hugh Rogers who settled on Fines Creek, Haywood County, NC. It goes like this: Hugh>John>Asbury Thornton>Robert "Bob">Cassius>Terry. John moved to the Upper Crabtree Community of Haywood County, and his son Asbury, grandson Bob, g grandson Cassius, and gg grandson Terry have all remained here during their lifetimes I also have a large Rogers database graciously shared with me by George Rogers Park, as well as some of my own research. Who were your own Rogers ancestors? I'm wondering if it's the Macon or Jackson County ones since you've used Mr. Wood's research.

RE: Virtual Cemetery Maintenance
Hi Jerry, I would be glad to help you with anything, but corrections and adding names to your virtual cemetery will have to be done from your account. If you are adding a memorial to your virtual cemetery, that someone else put on F.A.G., click on the edit tab on the memorial and then click "Edit my virtual cemetery settings" and click whichever cemetery you want to put it in. I haven't created any myself nor do I manage any memorials, so I don't know how to make corrections. I would just read carefully and go slow if it were me. Good luck and if you still can't find what you need, holler at me again. Best wishes and good luck, Vickie

RE: Rogers Family NC/TN
Hi, Jerry. Thanks for the information. I haven't researched this line of the Rogers family yet, but I do have a copy of some of the pages from one of Lawrence Woods' book and an article in the Macon County Heritage book. Thank goodness he preserved so many of the family relationships and names! I appreciate your taking the time to type up the genealogy info!

Hi again Jerry, I was just wondering if you might know where Cordelia's parents (John Sherman Rogers and Mary Jennings Rogers) are buried? I cannot find their grave sites. Thanks in advance. Best wishes, Vickie

Hi Jerry, nice to meet you. Cordelia was my GR Grandmother's sister. She would have been an aunt to the woman who raised me, Ethel's daughter Mary Louise born in 1924 in Knoxville. Thank you for your message and I hope you enjoy your time here at F.A.G. Best wishes, Vickie
