Vizzini Cemetery
Thank you for your additions from the cemetery in Vizzini. My grandfather was from Vizzini and moved to the U.S.A. in his teens right before WWI. I visited Vizzini in 2011 and 2013; there were no longer any headstones of any of my ancestors. Some of the people you added have surnames that are also in my family (Garra, Interlandi, LaFerlita) and a few are probably cousins of my grandfather.

Vizzini
I see that in the past you have taken some photos of graves at Vizzini. I have an elderly friend, Gianna Pirri Ventura, who grew up in Vizzini, but now lives in Los Angeles, CA. She wants to have some photos of a few family graves. Is it possible you could help us?
Thank you,
Bonnie Wilkerson

RE: Vita Manzi's grave
Hi, not it was not really difficult, I do it all the time. The Cemetery office will provide a marker like the one in the picture just by giving them a call with all the details you have on this record. If you decide to do so, let me know and I will go back and take a photo with the marker on the grave. By the way, they print on that little cross the name of the deceased and the plot details.

Vita Manzi's grave
I just took a photograph at Third Calvary, Section 39, Range J, Plot 5, approximately Grave 8. This is the caption I wrote for the photo:

Third Calvary, Section 39 is a potter's field or burial site without tombstones or any markers. Vita Manzi's grave should be where I am standing with the camera. The little marker in the shape of a cross directly in front of me holding the camera is for someone else and it is Plot 5, which is the straight line that goes from where I am to the end. A similar marker can be requested from Calvary at (718) 786-8000 and it will probably be in place the following morning
