Delaware State Hospital Cemetery
Hi Kathy,

I went ahead and deleted all my tokens that I had left on the memorials for this cemetery, as you requested. There were over 700 of them, but it is finished.

RE: Question for you
Hi Kathy,

Now this is something that I will have to mull over. There are over 700 people buried there. I started through in the A's and now I'm up into the D's, and I have removed all tokens that you think might be offensive and replaced them with a flower. Let me think about this a while and perhaps contact Admin at Find A Grave and see what they think would be the best thing to do. I randomly decorate thousands of graves and surely did not mean to offend anyone. I guess in the meantime I will go through and start deleting as time permits.

RE: Photo of Robert Small's gravestone
I'm so happy to be able to do this for you, Kathy, and so sorry for the loss of your dad. I try not to hold on to requests too long and the cemetery is only about 4 miles away. I know what it's like to be far away from a relative's final resting place. A wonderful volunteer in Chicago got a picture of my uncle's headstone for me. My mom, uncles and aunt had never seen it so it was a real gift.

You are performing a real "labor of love". There was a similar situation of numbered burials for a "sanitarium" here up in the foothills that someone took on and documented long before I discovered this site. Long, long hours of work, I'm sure.

RE: Harlan P. Williams
You're welcome. If there is a Seaford Leader for 1904 Harlan's obit/death notice may be in there. I can't remember if they go back that far. Good luck!

RE: Harlan P. Williams
Wow, that is quite a dilemma. I tried researching the death certificate of all Harlan Williams' that died in Delaware and didn't find any at all. Without that, it's so hard to tell. The only other option I can think of would be to go to the state archives and research it, either in their death certificates, or the newspapers there. Do you ever get to Dover? I go there occasionally but not on a regular basis.

flowers with notes
you just click on the flowers and a page will come up with options...one is to delete. Unfortunately, no option to edit, so if you want to write another note, you have to just delete the existing one and make a new one. Thanks much!

Heny Clay Elliott Turner
Hi KAthy, we discussed this before and I was wondering if now you might consider taking off your flowers note that the information is not accurate. ?? thanks! They are buried together in same plot.

Elliott-Turner
I was trying to piece parts of the puzzle together. Please check out my revised notes on Henry's memorial. If you agree to leave that way then you might want to remove your notes about being inaccurate. Don't want to confuse others even further. If you learn of anything else, please let me know and I'll do the same. It takes a village!

familysearch.org
you can also find Jane Elliott's death record on familysearch.org and it lists her as single in 1908, also at Riverview. Also, if you look her up on the 1850 census living in Brooke household Wilmington, you will see she has her 2 year old son Henry C. born Del.
