E. Stuckey-Bethel Baptist Cemetery
I think it was the one near Americus, GA. I am heading that way after I leave Abbeville, AL.

Mike, I suppose you requested a photo of the Stuckey that is buried there, and so did I but probably sometime after you. My point is, when someone has tried to locate this headstone for a photo and they were unsuccessful because maybe the earth swallowed it or somehow it got destroyed by vandals or possibly there never was one, wouldn't it be nice if the Memorial caretaker would at least put a note on the memorial to the effect of "no headstone could be found"? That way if more family comes along and requests a photo, they will know and save yet another volunteer the gas, energy, & trouble of trying to take a photo that cannot be taken!

RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 28373394
Hi Mike,

Seems that we are related, William Washington Storm is my 3rd great grandfather as well. I'm related through his daughter, Leila. I'd like to retain the memorial, but if there's something you'd like me to add just let me know.

Mike, Thank you so much for taking the time to take this photo for me. I see, there is quite a difference in the birthdate on the memorial and the date on the headstone. I know the marriage record gives 6 Feb 1843 as the marriage date of his parents. Do you know if this is just a mistake on his headstone? Thanks for your help, Connie

Robert Brice Stuckey
I am a descendent of Robert Brice Stuckey through his son Carl Estus .
Do you have any information on Robert's parents, which I think are Simon Stuckey ( unlikely to be the ill- fated proprietor of Stuckey's Bridge ) and Elizabeth Walters ?

Thanks, Jay Edwards

Hi Mike. I transferred your grandfather to you. I too am a Stuckey but have never tied James to my line. I would love to see your Stuckey line so maybe I could find the link.

Martha Stuckey
Mike, I will be transferring Martha to you. No problem. It takes team work to make all of this work. Connie

Sorry Rock Church Cemetery was in bad shape. We usually mow it about two or three times a year, since it cost over $500.00 each time it is mowed. We do not have a listing for a Martha Stuckey at Rock Church Cemetery, but it is very possible she is buried there in an unmarked grave. We have had several severe vandalisms at Rock Church Cemetery and alas, some of the older tombstones have either crumbled, been stolen or lost. If you think this person was definitly buried there, we need to add it to the list of unmarked graves.

Also, can you give us a brief history of the Stuckey family for our cemetery files. We are trying to gather all the information available and also current family members who will help us maintain our cemetery. We have a Rock Church Cemetery Association homecoming every second Sunday in October. It starts at 10AM and we all bring a potluck lunch and share family information afterward. Please know you are very welcome to attend.

Rock Church Cemetery Association
