Owen Grimes & 3 marriages
He was married 5 Mar 1846 Jefferson OHIO to Delila Rowland w/ a son Benjamin b. 1847 who d.1918. He married Alice J Winn, my great great Aunt on 1 Jan 1852 and divorced her after having 4 children: Charles, Mary Ella, Anna, and Theodore . He then got married again on Jan 1873 too Sally Petty in Washington Co OHIO and they had Abbot, Bertha May and Willis S. Owen Grimes mother-widow Hannah Elizabeth nee DeWeese GRIMES married a second time after death of her spouse to THOMAS E. WINN in 1850 and he is my gr gr grandfather who was the father of Alice J Winn whom Owen married. This marriage of Thomas E and Hannah was termed to be "a marriage of convenience". Thomas is found in a census in the home of daughter Alice and Owen Grime and children. I know Thomas was in Parkersburg, Wood Co WV before the 1870 census living w/his daughter Rachel and her spouse Joseph Wetherell and their family. He prob went there after the death of Hannah. Nothing is still known by proof of the death of Mary Cossins Winn altho some researchers say it was 1848 or maybe 1850. I paid a researcher in Morgan co OHIO to find info but nothing ever showed up and I still look for that type of info with no luck to date. vmwp70

Gertheen Pierce
Hi Randy, So nice to hear from you. We talked when aunt Gertheen died. I will be happy to add links to her parents. She was so close to her mother. She had a picture of her mom when they visted the indian reservation. I have lots of good memories about her and I am sure you do too,
