Barbara OBleness
Benedict, Buck, Whitaker, connections.
Greetings Paula ... My name is Barbara Whittaker(T)O'Bleness. My 3xGr. Grandfather married a Ruth Buck so I'm researching all the lines coming from those lineages mentioned. So far I haven't been able to connect the dots with the Whitaker(TT)line past Neri and Lemuel Whitaker in the 1820 Census. There's an Ann listed on one of the Census as head of house, but I don't know whether she is pertinent. I feel like having found a goldmine here on Find-A-Grave with the Benedicts, and Bucks.
If there's any further info available I would appreciate any help in going as far as possible.
I'm not a professional Genealogist, but I have delved into ALL my grandparents these past several years as just a family hobby. I started off with the beginning of a book and had to set it aside to clarify some facts and simply got swept away with research. I love research ... The hunt, if you will. I surely hope you get this message. Take Care
Soncerely, Barbara O'Bleness ... journeyintolife1@frontier.com

LaTourelle
Hi Paula, I claimed John W. LaTourelle in Roselawn Cemetery in Roseville, Minnesota. The cemetery did a type error for his wife Elizabeth A., 1847-1922, they spelled her last name as LaTourell, leaving out the last e. The grave stone is spelled right. If you would make a memorial for her I will ad the pic. Let me know, Bob.

Paula--have posted photos of Elizabeth & Rufus and Phila. Note the death date on Elizabeths stone is 1868 not 1860. Also there is an Amos Jr Benedict buried with them if you need.

RE: Sarah Allen Soper Buck
Hi, I like questions, I did not turn computer on til today, tried to reply from my IPad, but it would not let me. There is a court record in Albany NY Library on Solomon Soper that might explain what happened. So far no one has looked at the record. There are records in clinton co., NY that are hard to see and I am not sure when that will change. I will try sending you a email. Alvin's records are in San Mateo.

Amos P. Buck
Sorry I don't have a photo of him. Several I worked with on Buck family have passed away. Alvin Montgomery had the most information and his records are in a genealogy society in CA. He did have the Hiram Buck Bible.
