Bio

Betty Jean, daughter of Maurice and Peggy (O'Neill) Rodenberger, grew up on Orcas Island, Washington, as did her parents. The O'Neill family came from Maine in the 1880's and homesteaded on the north side of Orcas Island near the Canadian border in Puget Sound.
After 34 years living in Seattle and Los Angeles for schooling and employment and a few years in Tehran, Iran with her first husband, Herb Harrison, who worked for the Boeing Company. Betty Jean returned to her home and family in 1999.
It's a pleasant walk from her Olga home through the woods to the Olga-Doebay Cemetery where many of her family, friends and neighbors are at rest.
