Bio Photo Sue Landes

5-14-13 We have finally moved into the old house that we have been fixing up. We are now out in the country and loving the peace and quiet. Zip code has been updated and I will be happy to help with photo requests.

6-1-12 I am recently retired. My husband, Lothar, and I live in Minden, NV with our little 4 pawed house princess, Tazie (short for Tazmanian Devil). Actually she is the sweetest 19 pound Cocker Spaniel you could ever hope to meet.
As I have been working on our family trees, I came across Find a Grave and I have discovered a new hobby.

I will gladly help with photo requests for my area.

Sue :)

I just finished preparing a row of names to take photos of at Lone Mountain, and it was so nice to see you already have all the photos posted. Thank you so much for all your work!!!!

Hi, Just thought I would mention to you that you can find the plot #'s for Lone Mountain at the Carson City County Clerk/Recorders Office under genealogy. Presently I'm trying to add all the previously missed graves at Lone Mountain and I am working one section at a time. The cemetery office has given me access to their records, plus I work from the County Clerks records. I add as many obits as I can find on Ancestry.com. Finally when I'm done with the research on a section I go to the cemetery and take pictures of the graves. I'm retired also and I figure it will take me years to complete this task. Like you, it's a labor of love.

RE: Albert D & Sarah A Robinson photo request
Thanks so much for trying. I really appreciate it! Guess we'll never know who the unmarked graves are. That's what make genealogy so frustrating but at the same time so challenging. Thanks again.

RE: Sarah & Albert Robinson.
Thanks so much. I understand if you can't get there. Looks a bit treacherous.

RE: Sarah & Albert Robinson.
Someone posted a memorial but I believe the dates are wrong. I also believe that Albert is Amos. Others I've corresponded with agree. We want to confirm the info being right or wrong. Thanks so much for your help.

Thanks Sue for the additional information, I know now where to look next time I stop in there. I have had help finding specific graves both from the lady who last I was there was still on the property and had older records. Her husband was the grave digger before he passed. I am sure he did other work as well but that is what she said. Her whole family is buried not far from the house on the property where she lives. Also Dan Williss who works for Lyon County Parks and Rec was very helpful, good folks in Lyon County, wish everyone was that helpful.
I think getting the map up on the cemetery home page is a great idea. I have submitted maps before and they have posted them so you should have no problem.
Thanks again, Eileen

Thank you for the picture Sue,
Do you by chance remember what section he was in or what street he is near or even a direction from the entrance of the cemetery ? Also the first word of the inscription you have I, I am assuming it is In.

Thanks again, Eileen
