I noticed your note on her memorial. Are you in any way related to her? I believe she is the youngest child of my great aunt.

Hi Ann,
It is easiest to transfer records to you if you go to their memorial and in the upper corner click on the suggest an edit tab. Then just let the owner of the memorial know that you want that memorial. This sends them a link to the memorial and makes transfer very easy, otherwise we have to look up the memorial ID# and your ID# and it can be difficult when you have many records and many transfer requests. I will get those two transferred to you when I get home.

RE: Carmen and A.M.Ray
One other thing to be aware of regarding the cemeteries and that is there are two main ones in Waitsburg. The Odd Fellows or IOOF Cemetery. The Waitsburg Cemetery and the Waitsburg City Cemetery are really one and the same. I wish there was a way to merge them. The one with the city included has 12 interments and the other is over 2100. The rest of the Rays show up on the Waitsburg Cemetery site.

RE: Carmen and A.M.Ray
I knew I had a senior friend that would know all about Covello and sure enough, I caught up to him at church. I knew from the census it was in Columbia County which by the way has not one foot of frontage on the Columbia River. To my surprise it is at least five miles north of Dayton which is about ten miles from Waitsburg. So, the Ray clan must moved closer to Waitsburg in later years.

Covello is only a cemetery now....a ghost town so to speak. My friend Roy says there is a huge grave marker there that is supposed to have come around the Cape.

Any ideas on the obituary front?

Perhaps Find-a-grave is trying to protect me but you can use any time.
