|I am interested in finding final resting places of my family members. I was born in McMinnville, TN, and now live in Middle Tennessee where most of my ancestors lived and are buried. |
When I visit a cemetery, I will check to see if there are any photo requests pending and will attempt to locate the requested graves.
It has meant a great deal to me when I see a relative's grave site on Find a Grave, and I am grateful to those who have worked tireless hours to take and post pictures.
I am working on my family lines of Cardwell, Brandon, Baldwin, Watson, Dennis, Jaco, Martin, Shasteen/Chastain, Majors, Bobo, Burgin, Duncan and Steakley.

Allen Moffett Brandon married my Great Grandmother Jennie Pearl Thomas (28 OCT 1890-26 NOV 1967) in Laurens County (Rintz), Georgia around 1907-08, I haven't located the exact date as yet. "Brandon", as I always heard him referred to, was High School Principal in Tennessee possibly Murfreesboro. He was several years older than my Great Grandmother. They had one child my Grandmother, Susie Elizabeth Brandon. Pearl married two more times after Brandon. She is buried under her last married name, Pearl T. Marsh, in Oaklawn Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida.
Thurmon Brandon "Buster" was my Grandmothers half brother. Buster was a West Point Graduate in the 1930's. He received his appointment from Al Gore Sr. Buster retired from the Army and returned to school as a professional student at the University of South Carolina. His ashes are located at West Point with his fellow class members. My Grandmother "Susie" didn't meet her father "Brandon" until she was 28 years old. I can provide more information if you wish.

You're welcome, Barbara. I'm going to get back over there at mid-day to see if deeper shadows improve the readability. A little "spring green" on the grass wouldn't hurt, either!

Thank you for your reply so quickly. I would love to find it as we are going over to TN next week. Is there any way you could help me with the directions and who to contact? Thank you so much.

Barbara, did any of your Martins come to Panola County or Rusk County, Texas. I am researching an Elizabeth Martin (b. abt. 1815 SC) to see if she belongs with the Daniel Martin, Sr. family who came to Panola County, Texas. Daniel's family is buried in the Martin Cemetery, Rusk County, Texas (I think it actually straddles Rusk and Panola Counties.)
Thanks for any help. Diana firstname.lastname@example.org
