|I have been interested and consistently working on my direct family line history for many years and as that often leads to researching extended lines, my research often carries me far afield of direct lines.|
I began using FAG several years ago primarily seeking confirmation of elements of my family line. Over time, I came to realize that more and more family history colleagues are not only checking FAG for records but are indeed making valuable contributions to the larger field of genealogy and providing a great opportunity to link family members directly to create a holistic picture.
Given the ever growing access to historical records available to all, I decided to become a member and like many others, started creating memorial pages for my direct line and additionally, extended lines.
I try to provide as accurate and complete information as I can with the source information I reference but recognize that in a non-perfect world, mistakes are inevitable.
Should you find mistakes in the memorial pages I create and/or you wish to add additional information, I am very open to both and gladly welcome feedback accordingly.
In addition, if I have created a memorial page that is a close relative of your's and you would like to take ownership, I am happy to transfer maintenance responsibility to you based on the guidelines established by FAG.

You took the photo for this memorial but Burial is unknown. Do you know where this was taken? Can you either create an edit for the owner regarding the location or tell me what cemetery this is in so I can submit it.
|Nada Angalin Reed||thanks|
I will attempt to figure out how to do that. Thanks again.

1850-1922 you have created this for him. Is there someone near by who can go to the cemetery and see if the stone includes my great grand mother too. She was Catherine 'Kate' Armistead Carr. She was born Mar 1857 and died before 1910. Any help is greatly appreciated.
|Joanna Cayford||Mary Shank Weaver # 80528595|
Do you have any outside data to confirm that this Mary is the daughter of Samuel Shank # 63607608? There is a gap at 1833 in his children on Find a Grave. She is shown in Samuel's family on the 1850 census as age 17, after Samuel, Abram, and Elizabeth and before Jacob. Since you provided information about Samuel's second marriage, I thought you might have some other sources. She married Joseph Weaver in Rockingham Co, VA, on 4 Mar 1852 and had two daughters, Susanna and Elizabeth.
Thank you for your help.

|Judy Anne Long-Ingram||Pattie and James Mills|
My name is Judy Anne Long Ingram. Pattie and James are my great grandparents, their daughter is Martha Jane Mills Thaxton, her daughter is Hazel Constance Thaxton Long, who is my mother.
I recently visited Danville, Virginia to visit relatives. I also visited the leemont Cemetery.
So sad to say that the cemetery is in such bad condition. The area where my great grandparents are suppose to be buried, no headstones what so ever. In fact, no headstones at all in the particular area. Such a disappointment. It was as though someone just came in and removed them all. Just wanted to pass that along to you. Are you relayed to the Mills? And if so please tell me..

Hi Charlie, I have posted photos of their markers to your memorials. Seems to be a slight difference in their birth year from your memorial. Thought you would like to know.
