RE: One more thing
Hello. Okay now I know where you are in the family. Thanks for the Memorial# of your Gmother as I added it where missing. I will stay in touch as I do have a few questions regarding the Cavelier family. Also, I have a bunch of wonderful OLD photos of lots of the Cavelier, Posey, and Cook families. My mother sent me a link to a woman named Rosalind Zimmerman and she has a little dropbox on some website called "photobucket". She knows the family VERY well as she in her 80-90's now. I am still not sure just how she is linked in the fam, but my mother said she knows tons on info.

So I was given the password to her little photobucket and there are some amazing OLD pictures of the family that she has saved there and had retouched. She has written out what is written on the back of the photos also. I learned a lot about the different marriages and all of the family on her website.

I will stay in touch regarding Q's.

RE: Sidney and Margaret Cook
Glad I could be of help. I will note all of your new information, and also I updated your additional information regarding Sidney's sister Alice R.H. Cook and her marriage to Mr. Richardson.

Also, I looked back at my info as I have the obits from several of the Cook family. When his brother Walter Henry Cook died in 1935 the obit says Sidney is living in Louisville, KY (moved from 1930 US Census - Nebraska). Then when Sidney's mother dies in 1942 and her obit does confirm he is of Phoenix, AZ - so they moved out to the desert by then (1940-ish), I did not find them out there until 1951 but obviously they were there sooner.

RE: Mathilde Marie Cook
Let me know if you find anything else on Sidney G. Cook. After 30+ years living in the Midwest - Phoenix was a PARADISE. I assume they both passed away out there in the mid 1950's or early 1960's, but I cannot find anything beyond 1951 on them?

RE: Mathilde Marie Cook
Glad the info is helpful. He was not easy to track across the USA. Yes, all of the children are full siblings. Not sure what those little asterisks are for, or how they are applied - computer thing in Find A Grave?

No, I think I did put a bit of "privacy" on my account just to trim down the responses, but people still contact me. I assume that if it is a correction then they WILL contact me, and I am happy to review my research and correct my errors.

Otherwise, I put the facts down.

Cheers,

MLBushong

Sidney George Cook
Hello. Mathilde Marie COOK Posey is my great grand in my mother's side. I have done a good bit of research on both the Cook and Posey families. I have tracked down her brother, Sidney George Cook. He moved to the midwest likely taking over the sales of his father's farming inventions. He married twice in Putnam County, Indiana (1906), and later in Palo Alto County, Iowa (1917). Both his wives are listed on their father's memorial.

In 1930 he is still in the Midwest living in Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska. The last I could find him is living the good life with his 2nd wife, Margaret O'CONNOR Cook in Phoenix, AZ in 1950. They must have retired out there are the War. That is the last I can find him.

Let me know if you need details as I have all of the sources, etc.

Good evening,

MLBushong

Grand Coteau genealogy
Pat,

I was corresponding with another member and saw a message where you had mentioned Grand Coteau. I wasn't being nosey, I actually thought I was reading the other member's bio since they are also named Pat.

I've been trying to get records for my family from Grand Coteau from the church where they were married, but I get no response. Do you know how I can get records from the churches/courthouse/etc? Who knows, maybe we're related. :)

Thanks,
Heather
