RE: Slovenia Cemeteries List
As I looked at the list, there were many that didn't have cities. So maybe just add it and put the city name in the name of the cemetery??? Cemetery Name - City? I was like you....I used it a lot and then decided to contribute too. It's a great site.

hello. Welcome to our cozy little group.

My experience with adding cities, at least for the US, I was told that no new cities would be added for the area in question. I would like to see Fort Steilacoom listed because of the great number of people who died there. Anyway...

As far as adding a new cemetery,,

Scroll down to Ceneteries near the bottom and the first item there addresses adding cemeteries. I don't know if it is the same for outside the US but suspect so. After I got all the information in it had to be approved by the administrators before it was visible.

You have run into a great bunch of people here. Give a shout to any of us if you have problems questions etc. Everyone here is very helpful..

Hi Jani!
I see I'm not the Newbie anymore! I have been in for 24 days so I am now a teeny tiny bit more tenured than you are. :-) We have lots to learn, it's already been great fun & everyone is very helpful.

Slovenia Cemeteries List
Here are the cemeteries listed for Slovenia. Are any of them the one you want to add the picture of?

Lightbulb moment
Hi, I just got to may have to add a grave and then set up the cemetery when you add that grave. I've added at least once cemetery and I think that is how I had to do it. There is a step in there to do it someplace. If you want to give me a call, I'll try to talk you through it.

RE: Double Howdy!!
You probably have to have the province or county or whatever it's called before you can add the city? What's the name of the city and I'll try to help. And look under Croatia or one of the other countries that it was divided into.

RE: Double Howdy!!
You're welcome. In regards to your question about cemeteries that aren't done....I would think that is any that are quite Mt View, Tacoma, New Tacoma for sure. Smaller ones may be done but probably the only way to know if that is true is to go to a small one and write down all the names/dates of the markers you find and then check them against the cemetery's site. What I did when I claimed a request was to take photos of other graves in the same area that had old dates that were near the requested one and then checked to see if they were on the site. If not, I added them with the picture of their marker. Also, I'm big into photographing military markers so as I drive around in the Tacoma Cemetery and spot a Civil War or Spanish American War marker, I'll stop and take pictures of those. Or if there is a WWI, WWII, Korea, VietNam or markers from the current "war" we are in near the requested one, then I photograph those as well. I hope to get to Tacoma and do some transcribing only but won't take pictures. I don't claim anymore because my time is so limited to get to the cemeteries, that the claim may expire and then the request would just sit there unless someone actually goes to the cemetery site to see which ones haven't been claimed. Hope that answers your question. Take care and maybe we'll meet at one of the cemeteries one of these days. Andi
