Hi Trish. What a nice surprise to see your email on Find a Grave. Yes, my grandmother was Viola Fries Ruttle Crich. A few years ago my aunt and daughter went to Florida and paid Aunt Bernice a visit. I also have fond memories of her. I remember visiting her at Aunt Ruby Halls many years ago as well. My mother was Dorothy Ruttle Fraser.
I have researched the Fries family a fair bit. Bernice's father was George Fries, his father was Peter and his father was Jacob. Jacob was born in 1795 and is buried in Heidelberg Cemetery near Kichener.
Your note does not give your address or phone but I suspect that you live in the states. I live in Cambridge, Ontario and would love to correspond with you about this family. Also, the grandmother was Elizabeth Clark and I have some really good pictures of them. Some given to me by Aunt Bernice. drop me a line at email@example.com and we can see what we can discover. Sharon Fraser Richards.
