RE: Harriett Grupp
Feel free to ask for help anytime. It is a learning process for sure. I made many mistakes when I first started.

Harriett Grupp
Gerry

The duplicate happened because when you entered her last name, you included her first husband. Therefore, it was alphabetized in the "C" instead of the "G". When I searched for a Harriett Grupp, none appeared. Find A Grave states that when a woman has married twice, only the last married name appears in the "last" field. The first husband is listed as a link if possible and give info on that marriage in the bio section.

I have solved the problem for you and transferred my memorial to you, because she does fall within the guidelines for transferring a relative. Also the picture now stays intact. I have copied your bio section to my memorial and entered the name as Find A Grave states it should be entered. I also linked Harriett to her first husband.

I would suggest that you delete the one you created, so a duplicate is not shown and you still have the picture I took in place on the memorial.

If you wish to have the first name show on the line across the top of the memorial, there is a work around. Find A Grave does not recommend this, but I admit I have done this...you could enter it in the maiden name field one space after her maiden name. It then will show on top and it will not throw off the alphabetical listing of the name. It also allows her maiden to still show in a proper search as well. The only difference you will see is that Crawford will also be italicized like her maiden name, which helps let you know what field it is in.

Hope this meets with your satisfaction, the bio info is in place, as well as links, and my picture can still be seen. Have a great day,

Diane

RE: William Grupp grave pic
The names on the stone are

DOB ?? Emeline Grupp DOD ??
DOB ?? Clara Brazier DOD 1901
DOB 1854 Kate Grupp DOD 1920
DOB 1856 William Grupp DOD 1933

I'll go back and recheck the dates on my next trip. Maybe tomorrow unless its raining!

When I took this picture I remember thinking oh great I hate this kind of stone, they are always so hard to read. I even took one on an angle and it's still hard to read.

RE: Elbridge G. Belknap grave
I think you can move him to the correct cemetery. If you are logged in, click on "Edit" next to Burial, then select the correct cemetery.

Best regards,
Margaret
