RE: St Joseph's Church Cemetery
Aloha Rose,

Just got a reply from a volunteer that this cemetery has a lock on the gate.

Im trying to get the word out to those that have been so kind to help me, to see if any answers are out there. Im not done listing the names I do have, and have come upon people that actually know they have family there.

Hoping someone doesnt have plans for that land and no way to contact family???

Hi,

Just got back from Hawaii, and got a few names buried in tall grass and bites by bugs....lol. Looks like your family may be in the area I couldnt get too; otherwise I will try again next yr to finish the job.

Thought Id ask, if you know who or how the grass will be cleaned up now with the rains? It was difficlt to find the low headstones with so much growth.

RE: St Joseph's Church Cemetery
Thank you for getting back to me. After discussing this with my husband, we decided to take all the photos that we can, then come back and see if a memorial has been made. If not, then request photos from a local volunteer. It will be tricky with the different names, and I have already seen one duplicate, cause someone used the name on the headstone and then another listed with military title (respect). But we can work those little issues out later ...lol

Mahalo and have a great day

St Joseph's Church Cemetery
Aloha,

Were going to be in Hawaii this month and wanted to leave a mesage about listing all the headstones in this cemetery. Im from Calif, and thought would make request for photos after I do this.

Also, I see some using this name for the Waipahu Catholic Cemetery and wondering if that was the cemetery's name back in the day "50's or later?

I just felt moved to see so many plots not visited and headstones missing or damaged, I wanted to list before they are gone. Hope this does not seem disrespectful
