I retired from the U.S. Coast Guard after 22 years in 1999. I stay fairly active with the local veterans organizations.|
My main reason for joining "Findagrave" was its assistance in helping me find the final resting places of 14 of 44 men killed in a crash of a C54 air cargo ship in November of 1945. The 44 men aboard were on there way home from Chabua India via Karachi in the CBI theater of operations at the end of WW II.
I found the site to be a bit overwhelming at first, but I'm sure if I take it slow I believe I can be an asset to others in their quests
Newport News, VA.

I have posted a photo as requested for Euell Ratliff. I don't believe this is the person you wanted. The earliest burials in Sunset Memorial Gardens were around 1950. I'm sorry to disappoint you. Good luck with your search.

You are welcome, and thank you for the details on his death. Are you related to one of the men who crashed?

You're welcome; glad to help. Yes, your directions were right.
I wish you success in finding the resting place of all the men who went down on that plane.
I added the info...however do me a favor and move the photo you put on mine to the correct location for his memorial in Mass.
