I am actively researching my genealogy, and have found so many helpful connections and information on Find A Grave.com; it has been an invaluable tool in connecting the missing pieces in my family tree. I would like to "Pay it Forward" and help anyone who is also looking for their genealogy connections in the Salt Lake City area.

JUST A NOTE REGARDING PHOTOS IN UTAH....
If you are requesting a photo from a Utah cemetery during the months of October through April, please understand sometimes the headstones are buried under several inches of snow for weeks at a time....and I will try to get back to them as soon as the snow melts!

RE: Nancy.Peel @ Edgemont,S.D.
Hi Rebecca:
That is so neat that people on this site are so willing to help others w/ their research.
When I got his message this morning-my 1st thought was "huh" ??? Then I remembered you & your request for Nancy @ the Edgemont Cemetery & the pieces all fell into place. All is well on this end.Had a
surgery done on 16 Jan & I'm still recouping from that (8-10wks)but still fulfilling requests @ a couple of cemetery's while some of my favorite
haunts have way to much snow to get pictures so will have to wait until spring. My hubby & I found some neat, smaller cemetery's on the internet that we'll be going to explore in the spring...looking forward to that :-)
Take care & it was great hearing from you again,
Beth

Nancy.Peel @ Edgemont,S.D.
Joseph N Peel, Nancy W Peel, Robert Edgar Peel
I noticed you had some questions relating to the double grave site at the Nancy W Peel lot.

Robert Edgar Decamp was adopted? by Joseph N Peel in Nebraska after his father (William Wesley DeCamp) died of typhoid fever. Joseph and his wife Nancy adopted? Robert about 1895 and lived in northeast Nebraska. They then moved to Edgemont, South Dakota. After Nancy (Taylor) passed, Joseph married their housekeeper, Rebecca Bain. According to family stories, Robert Edgar did not get along with the 2nd wife, and left the household before he came of age.

Joseph N Peel, a furniture maker, mortician and musician, left Edgemont with his 2nd wife and returned to Roanoke, Virginia and died there, according to a letter in our family genealogy files. The letter was written to Robert Edgar Peel on Apr 23, 1925 by H.F. (Lizzy) Evans of RFD 3, Box 105, Roanoke, VA, and stated Joseph N. was survived by a brother, D.A. Peale, and two sisters, Lizzy (above) and Nettie Crews of Boonsville, NC.

You are welcome to see more info about Robert Edgar (DeCamp) Peel at: http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/25048979/person/1598153731

RE: Nancy W Peel
Hi Rebecca :
The people @ the Edgemont City Hall are super nice & are more then willing to take the time to help you out w/questions & so forth. I called them before I claimed your request for Nancy just to confirm that she was laid to rest there. They to are curious as to why she had 2 plots when it is only her buried there. Matter of fact & if my memory serves me correct-the lady I talked to was baffled because she didn't have a certificate of burial for Nancy in her records.
Here is the phone # 605-662-7422.Call them Monday morning & maybe they can help you w/ this mystery of yours :-)

RE: Nancy W Peel
Hi Rebecca :
I'm glad it's you & your family trying to figure this mystery out & not me !!! Still doesn't explain why she (Nancy) has a double plot when it's just her buried there. Oh well !!!
Another mystery for you & yours to figure out.
Take care,
Beth
