Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing my family history off and on for years (definitely Heinz57). After I married my husband, I also worked on his family (all Bohemian). I have a facination with old cemeteries and love to take photos.

Last August you wrote-

"Like you I have been looking for years. I am going back to Iowa next week to help my daughter and new baby. Before I leave to come back to AZ at the end of Sept, I want to go to Griswold where most of the Forsyth family settled and see if there is anything in their historical society. I'm afraid it may take a trip to Ireland and Scotland to find more. They were Scot-Irish since they were Presbyterian."

I just wanted to check in with you to see how your visit
went and if you were able to learn anything more about the
Forsythes? I hope the new grandbaby is doing well 😊
Happy New Year!

RE: Darius Munson
Hey Sunshine,

What is your real name? You are definitely my cousin. Woot hoot. You seem like good people!

My direct is John Eastman Munson, as well.

My Grandmother: Vera Blanche Munson (Webber)
Great Grandfather: Marion Arthur (Doc) Munson
GG Grandfather John Eastman Munson

I'm not familiar with your grandfathers name but the others I sure am. Do you have a tree on ancestry? I'm sure you do. I have a bad memory and I'm at work right now.

Cya,
Susie

I wish you LOTS of luck! I don't know if the FFA is active anymore, but they used to be a treasure trove of information back in the 1980's. My grandfather and his father (John's grandson) were both born in Griswold.
I would love to hear if you're able to find out anything more, and in the meantime, have fun with your daughter and new grandchild!

It's always nice to find another cousin! Have you done any research on the family? I've been looking for years but have been unable to find anything beyond John's father, George Forsyth, and his mother, Mary Patterson Forsyth.

Could you add to the bio that he was born in Ballymageogh, Parish of Morne, County Down, Ireland?

Thanks! John is my 4th gr grandfather.

I apologize for taking so long to get back to you, cousin 😊. (He is my 3rd great-grandfather! ) Can you tell me what your line of descent is? Mine is through John & Elizabeth's son John, and then their grandson, James E. Forsyth.
Thank you for the information- I've added it to his memorial.

Darius Munson
Hello Sunshine,

Thank you for the reminder to add Jerry Munson 116001734 as a father to his son Darius. I did that today.

Darius is not my direct, his father Jerry is, but Darius is not. If he's your direct let me know and I'll be glad to transfer to you.

Have a wonderful day Sunshine!!

Susie

Elias S Weeks- Margaret Somers
Sunshine,
I have unlinked Elias and Margaret.
I show they were married 10/21/1844 in Barnet, Caledonia County, Vermont but I have not found the record.
Have you looked at the Missouri Death Certificate for their son William A Weeks on Find A Grave# 54098176, it Lists both parents. William is also in Margaret's household on the 1850 and 1860 census.
How are you related to Lillian Mae Weeks Like?
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you,
Jay
