RE: Howard family
Hi, Bob,

Apologies for the belated reply. I did see your message about the Howards but haven't had a chance to follow up yet. I'll try to be in touch as soon as possible. Thanks!

RE: Pleasant View Cemetery, Jamaica, Vermont
Good to hear back from you! Willard and Abigail Howard are my 5th-great-grandparents. I descend through their daughter Sarah "Cassie" (Howard) Prouty, her daughter Abbie (Prouty) Clark, her daughter Mabel (Clark) Crowninshield, her son Wallace Crowninshield, and his daughter Vera, my grandmother.

My father is actually from Jamaica, and most of my family still lives there, so I am up there on a regular basis. In fact, I'll be at the cemetery this Saturday for my grandmother's service. If there is anything else you need photographed in the cemetery, let me know.

I didn't know about Alphonso, which I suspect is because he doesn't appear in Booker or any of my other old Jamaica history books. Maybe he was the youngest, and missed some of the records as a result? The children I knew of are Fanny Livermore, Henry Howard, Martha Howard, Laurelle Howard, and Sarah "Cassie" Prouty.

I don't keep a tree on Ancestry, but I'd still love to compare trees. Feel free to send me an e-mail at jashleyodell@gmail.com, though since I'll be up in Jamaica through the long weekend, you may not hear back from me until next week.

Bob,

I saw that you've added profiles for a couple of my direct ancestors buried in Jamaica. Are you also a descendant of this couple?:

* Willard Howard - http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=108832964
* Abigail Chase Howard - http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=108833043

They are my fifth-great-grandparents. My father is from Jamaica.

I have a lot of information on both that I could add to the profiles. If you're not also a descendant, would you mind passing management over? If not, I can find a way to get it to you.

Thanks for your work on creating these profiles.

Sincerely,
Ashley

RE: Carlton
Bob,

Yes, I do use familysearch. It is another tool, that we use. Maybe in the fall we are going to CT and then into VT. My mother is looking for the burial record of her sister Arlene. She died as an infant. So we need to go look in Cavendish Town Hall. They will let you go through records but they do not have the time to do it for you. Always hunting for someone it seems. I have gotten a great deal of help from Find A Grave members.

Always glad to meet another relative that I did not know. Also thank you for filling in the gay with Mary Carlton Ware. I am still looking for George Ware ie his birth place and family.
Were you picking up the Stocker side because there is another link?

Carlton
Bob,

Saw your tree and Find A Grave listings. Do you have first hand knowledge that Mary Carlton Ware's family is in MT Holley. We have been looking for them. She would be my 3rd great grandmother.

Thanks,
Debby

Hi Bob. I will be happy to transfer those records to you. Are you close enough to do the photos? I have been doing them by request. St. Thomas is just too big to do them all. I hope that you are well and enjoying life. Anne class of 64.
