Bio and Links
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, I currently live in nearby Shelby Co., Kentucky, in the area where Jefferson, Shelby, and Oldham Co. converge. I have been actively pursuing my ancestry for the last twenty years, with the advent of Family Tree maker (and now but have been the family historian for many more years. My interest increases each year as I draw closer to retirement when I hope to be able to focus on more in depth research of my family tree.

I have found that both sides of my family have lived in Kentucky for over two centuries, with a predominately English, Irish, and French heritage (when I am able to find records available from the 18th century to document arrival in the USA).

RE: Elizabeth Burr Chandlee
Yes, your relationship is somewhat distant, however, I have no objection to your using the picture, as long as you give credit, so go ahead. Perhaps a distant cousin will see it and contact me.

Thank you for asking about Elizabeth Burr Chandlee. Some people do not ask for permission to use other people's contributions. Before I give a definitive reply, I would like to know whether you are related to her,and how she would fit into your family tree.

RE: William A Campbell
Many thanks for looking. I was there a couple of times several years back, before I knew what/whom I was looking for. It was a really neat cemetery, full of my people. But like you, I did not see William. I look forward to seeing your other photos. Thanks again. Rod

Pearce Family
Dear Daddy's Girl,

Thank you so much for your efforts to take the photos of the graves of the Pearce Family in Fairview Cemetery, outside Simpsonville, Kentucky. Hattie Josephine Campbell Pearce was the sister of my grandfather, Dr. Roy Clifford Campbell, who is buried in Resthaven Cemetery in Louisville. You have probably guessed the linkages: Hattie was married to Robert Lee Pearce. Robert Lee was the son of Andrew John Pearce and Martha Elizabeth Cooper Pearce. Roy Campbell Pearce was the son of Hattie and Robert Lee. And, lastly, Mary Elizabeth Shindler Pearce was the wife of Roy C. Pearce. I have suggested edits to their memorials to show the linkages and expand upon their biographies. (I am rather certain the other Pearces in the Fairview Cemetery are kin to the ones I have mentioned above, but I have not yet figured out the links.)

Thank, again. Rod

RE: Pearce Photo Requests-Fairview KY Cemetery
Thank you very much for your efforts -- they are appreciated. I am sure all of the Pearces (or sometimes Pierce) are related -- I have just not completely figured out the relations. My grandfather's sister married Robert Lee Pearce, 1866-1927, so that is how they are kin to me. Thanks again -- I hope you enjoyed the trip. I'm sure it must be an interesting graveyard. Rod

Thanks for claiming my kin in Fairview. I look forward to the results of your efforts. Be sure to visit the Antioch Cemetery on your way to Fairview. Rod

RE: Thanks!!!!
I think you're right! They should be my gg-parent. It's amazing how little I know about my Rogers' family and how much I know about my other branches! It has been a lot of fun.

My dad was really happy to see the pic of his fathers grave. He thanks you too! :)
