Bio Photo Retired registered nurse. Now working on my family genealogy.Never thought in a million years I'd be going to cemeteries looking for people. But I do enjoy all the history of our ancestors.I do check the requests and if I happen to be near a particular cemetery I'll gladly take a photo for any one.

Smith Parke and his wife Harriet
Thank you so very much for taking the time to take photographs of their headstones . I wasn't expecting a success story because of the age of their passing . This is an important family line in my family tree . This helps with documentation of their birth and death.

Lyman Tifft # 91966202
Sorry, the computer posted before I was done.

1855 Census for the town of Wilna, shows Lyman's son Reuben is married and his wifes name is Mary and they have a 2 year old child, Frances.

Lyman Tifft # 91966202
I find that Mary E. Tifft was buried on this lot in 1860 and Lyman did not die until May 30, 1869. Nine years later he was buried beside her.

Mean while his wife Mary born in 1802 was still alive in the 1870 US Census for Jefferson County,

Mary E. Tifft #91966228
It is a mystery as to whom she was married. Although she is buried beside Lyman Tifft, she is not his wife Mary. The 1850 US Census for Jefferson Co. NY shows Mary age 48, she is also in the 1860 & 1870 Census.

Evidently Mary E. Tifft is related since she is buried in the same plot. But the age does not work out, she was 40 years younger than Lyman.

I would appreciate any help you can give me on this.
Thank you!

Albert Bugman
hi Linda,
Am rather curious about the memorial you have posted for Albert Bugman. Believe him to be my gr-grandmother's brother. Know for a fact he was in Watertown in 1948. Do you have any further information ?

Thank you so much for photos of the monument for these 2 brothers. My GG grandfather Reuben Tifft's nephews, sons of his sister Sybil Draper.

RE: The cemeteries on Fort Drum
No problem. Next time I need to find a way to get a map. I had GPS coordinates and found the three I was looking for, but it sure wasn't easy. For some reason I thought Gates cemetery was on Antwerp road but finally I figured out I had to backtrack on Plank (not that there was any road sign, but one of my two GPS devices told me it was "Plank" road). Lake School and Pierce were a lot easier to find, and I went by a couple others, but they weren't ones I was looking for.
