John Davis Alderson
Hi Ron,

There's a Melissa Campbell who posted photos of John to his memorial: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=44201691

I tried to use those photos to compare them with another photo of a John Alderson http://cdm16447.contentdm.oclc.org/cdm/compoundobject/collection/p15414coll1/id/2359/rec/475 to try to determine if that photo is the same John Alderson.

But Melissa's photos are sort of small, and I can't be sure if the photo I found is of the same John Alderson. If you can determine that the photo I found IS the same person, I can copy that photo, remove the yellow cast, fix some blemishes and add it to John's memorial.

Directions to Shearer Valley Cemetery
Hey Ron, If you can get to the center of downtown Monticello, you head South on Main Street from the Doughboy til you reach 167. Take a left and travel on 167 til you reach 200. Take a right onto 200 and travel south toward Tennessee for about 15 to 20 minutes. The road is beautiful and curvy, so take I take it pretty slowly. The Cemetery is on the right hand side of the road across the street from a pretty white church. If the museum is open in town there'll probably be someone there who can give you better directions,...maybe with approximate milages. Hope you enjoy your stay, Joyce

Cousins
Hi Ron, thanks for your note! Are you on Ancestry too? I'd like to add your line to my tree. If we share our 4th greats then that makes us 3rd cousins. That's pretty close!! My email is kerrimanuel@att.net.
Would you like an invitation to my tree? I'm happy to send it.
