Hi Rachel,

I've started doing a little genealogy work and came across your contributions on this website. We appear to be a part of the same line of Dutts, but I haven't come across your name yet so I'm not sure how we might be connected!

Would love to compare notes and perhaps help each other out, but I'm guessing you have far more information than I do. :)

All the best,

J

RE: Mary A Wells (And Alfred Wells)
My husband and I walked the entire cemetery twice and couldn't find any marker for Mary's son Alfred. Maybe he is buried there and no marker was ever placed on his grave. I find that to be pretty common when people can't afford the markers.
You don't need to ask permission for the picture. I volunteer my time so that the pictures can be used. Please feel free to add it to your tree.

RE: Nathan P & Elizabeth Dutt
Did you notice that John and Roy are buried there in the family plot, too? I think it went left to right; Nathan, Roy, John, and the Elizabeth on the far right.

You have my permission to use the photos on Ancestry.

Glad I could help.

RE: Thank you!
Rachel,

Glad I could be of help! I am at Glendale a lot, but seldom do the photo requests as there is a very active request filler in the area, who gets them taken care of promptly. I think she may have been out of town for awhile. ;)

Ancestry has early births and deaths online from the Summit county courthouse, and also has a huge selection of Summit county marriages.

I have not seen the actual obit for Reuben, only the index. You can access the Beacon Journal Indexes here:

http://sc.akronlibrary.org/genealogy/akron-beacon-journal-indexes/

And here is the link for Akron City Directories:

http://sc.akronlibrary.org/genealogy/city-directories/

The next time I get to the library I will try and remember to get Reuben's obit and send it to you.

Zella

RE: Thank you!
Hi Rachel,

Sorry I couldn't find Sarah Dutt, some of the older headstones are very weather worn and hard to read. Glad to help out!
