Are you descended from Richard Marion Williams? Are you from his first wife, Lucy H. Walker or the second wife, Mary C. Calloway? My gt-grandfather was half-brother of Lucy H. Walker.

Hello I am The Granddaughter of Mary Ellen Williams Boner. Her mother was Effie. Olean was her brother and my Mothers Uncle. I have been trying to trace our ancestors and track our "American Indian" heritage. I am finding out new things everyday and if you can help it would be great. My Aunt Katherine and Uncle Melford has told me some things and I just found this on the Internet. I have may pictures and documents and would love to talk to anyone who can lead me further than my dead ends..

Re: the parents of Robert Hope Nelson.
Hello, I saw the Find A Grave memorial for Robert Hope Nelson (his father Samuel Doak Nelson was brother to my great-great grandfather, Alexander Marion Nelson). I'm curious about Robert's Native American mother, Margaret Hope. I've seen a few trees at Ancestry.com that trace her ancestry back on both maternal & paternal sides to the UK however they offer no citations/proof for this claim, so I'm unsure of trees that claim to trace Margaret Hope's paternal/maternal lineages.
I was wondering if you could tell me where the information originated about Margaret Hope's Cherokee ancestry?
My Nelson family also claimed Cherokee ancestry, however, we believe it originated from the Vaughn family (Alexander Marion, Samuel Doak's brother, married a Vaughn), but again, this is family tradition and there's no paper trail.
Also, I've seen notations stating Margaret Hope died in Missouri the year Robert Hope Nelson was born? Any idea where she may be buried?
Thank you for your time - the Nelson family has been difficult to research.

We had received a message from another member that we had duplicated one of the transcriptions. I removed the duplicate and uploaded the funeral home marker photo to the original one. It was for one of your relatives. however you had a photo of the young lady on the correct entry as well as the duplicate that I had uploaded.

Sorry for the delayed reply, have not had alot of time this summer to work on anything.
If there are any of the memorials that I entered that you would like to control, please let me know. will be glad to transfer them to you. Alot of field stones in this cemetery, I don't know who has any records of it, but it is a beautiful place.

Are you sure? I thought she died before they moved to missour or on the way to Missouri? I also thought the Margaret Nelson that is buried there was one of Samuel Doak Nelson's granddaughters, one of William Nelson's children.
