Hattie (Rice) Willet Whitehouse
Hi Jo - Just wanted to leave you this quick note to let you know I've linked Hattie to Thomas and found her obituary ... have added it to her memorial. I haven't been able to find anything on her first husband yet, though, but haven't given up. Hattie is apparently also in the Gleason cemetery but I've checked all the photos I took out there and have not found one for her. It's been a while since I've been out there but I do remember there being some headstones that were unreadable and others that might be missing. I'll have to run out there again some time in the next couple of weeks and take another look around. I need to do that anyway because my sister's toes are showing in the photo taken of Hattie's son, Ervin's, gravestone; found a couple others I need to re-do, too (forgot I needed to do that)! I need to do some research at the courthouse, too, and will let you know what I find (or don't find). Sheryl

Hi Jo - Thomas is all yours now! I ran down to the library to see if I could find an obituary or death notice for you from the newspaper of the day but had no luck. As far as anyone is aware, Gleason had no newspaper back then and the nearest city would have been Merrill but the Merrill newspaper didn't really cover too much of the happenings in Gleason back then, although I thought it was worth a try. If there is any information you'd like looked up, such as from his death record or marriage record to Hattie Willet in 1902, feel free to ask. Sheryl
