Hi Michelle, I don't know much about Avery. He was the son of Love Hyatt and Caroline Hurst, one of (I believe) 10 children born to the couple. I cannot find where he ever married or was in the service. There is; however, an Avery Hyatt on the 1920 and the 1930 census listed as an inmate (patient) at the State Hospital in Raleigh). He did not die there however, he died at Broughton Hospital in Burke County (Morganton) of pneumonia. Broughton is also a psychiatric hospital. That's about all I was able to find on Avery. Regards, Cheri

You're very welcome! I also added photographs for others in the same plot. They are: Frances Coleman Cudd, Sabbath Day Cudd, Wendell O. Cudd, and Alta B. Cudd Goodwin.

My first time doing that . Glad I did good (lol).Wish more would ask for those I added. Hate not having the information on them Some I can find , but most Only Family knows
You are very welcome. I can lose myself in a cemetery taking pics!
The stone is not dirty. Remarkably, it is in great shape. The stone has a marble effect and that makes it hard to read. I will go back and decipher it :)
