|pe986||Rachel Fowler, menorial #113589117|
Could you check Rachel's headstone? I think she is my Rachel (Harrison) Fowler, born about 1780 in Branford, Connecticut. Her husband was Harvey Fowler, who died in Mendon, Illinois, in 1833. Harvey is not listed, but her son, Edward H Fowler, is in Mendon Cemetery, as well as Edward's wife, Martha Louisa (Strong) Fowler, and several of their children. From the photo, I think the headstone reads "consort of Hervy Fowler."
Thanks for your help,

Sue, did you remove the pictures of Battell Stones in the Mendon Cemetery of Edward S. Battell or did Ancestry remove them? For some reason they are no longer visable to me.

I wanted to let you know how grateful I am to you for your volunteer work, as it touches so many people, including myself.

I take all of that back...I was going from memory and with a splitting head ache today. Let me start again Lol.
Trees on Ancestry have a Samuel Sylvester Russell born 1810 to 1820 and died 1851, wed to Alice Lumley, with two sons: Samuel S. and James F. Russell.
My direct ancestor James F. actually has a son George Samuel Russell 1873 - 1957 and lo and behold George had a wife Mary Pernina Hess 1877 - 1965. So I now believe that is them...
I'm putting it here to correct the message for anyone who reads and because this is not a correction it's a conversation...you can correct if you want to or add family links if you want to, or if you don't want the pages I would but up to you.
Just posted here to say thanks really and then to correct my mistake. (And I still am unsure who their dad was but looks like I found your George's dad at least! So that makes George my cousin?)
