Etta (Ettie) Lamb of Indiana
was married to a Deffendall. She was the daughter of Susan Ann Nance Benedict Lamb (I have her bio on find a grave). Her father was Zemeriah Lamb of Parke County, Indiana (orginaly North Carolina). Etta may have married Lawson Norrick who was the widower of her sister Luzina Lamb Norrick.

RE: Deffendoll
I have a few Deffendoll's from Pike County, Indiana, but don't have much info on them, but am willing to trade info.

I have a Lois I Davis that married a Deffendoll, but I not sure which one. She had two children Bobby Lee and Robert Gene. Not sure if her husband died and she remarried or they divorced. I show that she married a Forrest L. Blackburn and had three children by him.

I have several books from Pike county Indiana would be glad to try and help if your Deffendoll's came from Pike County, Indiana

Have nothing on this line - just what's been found on burial logs and cemetery records. Good luck in your search!

Hi Eric,

You're very welcome, I enjoy this work so much as it helps others to find family and friends and creates a record of people who once inhabited our earth. I do not have any personal knowledge of the Deffendall family, I create the memorials from cemetery transcripts. The only one I have created is for Brenda Deffendall. Do you want me to transfer her over to you? She is not any relation to me so I'd be happy to transfer, you can let me know at your convenience. Good luck in your research!

Hi, It looks like I posted a memorial only once for a Diffendal. It says "Daughter - Geraldine E Diffendal", but there are no parents buried beside her. Evidently, the parents moved out of the area and were buried elsewhere. Or maybe they are still living! They'd have to be 100 years old +! Anyways, I do not know anything more about her at all. Furthermore, did you ever check this site out? Copy and paste this into your browser:

It is a public posting board where anyone can post any info they have on certain people. I have this one directed to the "Diffendal" entries. Thanks!

RE: Diffendal

Sorry, do not know these people. I only did a bulk transfer from the Green Hills database to the FindAGrave database

RE: Deffendoll

I'm not related to the family and don't have any information on them.

Sorry I can't be of help.
