Unfortunately, I'm not a blood relative of the Rice family, but picked up a few details while doing some research for a family friend on the Wallace side. In looking at what I have, I hit a wall at the same point as you. My gut reaction is that Margaret has to be a daughter of either John Walliser Wallace, Christian Walliser Wallace, or Antonius Anthony Walliser Wallace, although I don't find her in their families. I'm sure that you have already checked the United Empire Loyalist records. They all received land for their service in the British militia. Their children were also entitled to a chunk of land when they achieved the age of majority (if they applied for it). Can't add much more, but I'll keep you in mind as I wade around Dundas County. Take care, Kathryn

Hi: Are you still looking for photos of the headstones of Carl, Alice, Helen (Elliott) and Archie Rice in Maple Ridge Cemetery, Chesterville, ON? If so, I can provide them to you. My uncle, George Elliott and Helen were siblings and I knew Helen and Archie through family gatherings.
They are also shown on the following website:
If you select Maple Ridge from the dropdown box and then search "Rice", they come up (along with some Prices).

You are welcome. There were a couple I did not have time for yesterday, but I'll try to get back there.
Unfortunately, there may be no stone for Barney and
Ellen Harper. I believe the person who made their memorials had good evidence they were buried at Maple Ridge, but (as far as I know) no one has been able to locate a headstone.

It is so nice to hear from a Dean relative (even though by marriage). I do have quite a bit of information on the Dean family. My lineage is as follows:
I am Susann Ethel Spring.
My mom is Mary Angeline Kittle.
My grandmother was Maude Ethel Dean.
My great-grandmother was Mary Angeline Hennessey.
Mary Angeline and Charles Cornell lived with my mom's family for a while during the depression in Linden (East Bethany) NY. They are both buried in West Middlebury Cemetery immediately to the left of Gideon Jr. and Maude Dean Kittle. The graves are located at the very back of the cemetery from the second entrance. The cemetery isn't large so the site is easy to find.
Do you belong to Ancestry.com? All my genealogy is on it. If not, I will gladly send you what I have on the Dean and Hennessey families. You mentioned you might have a photo of Maude Dean? I would love a copy. We only have one photo and that is her wedding picture.
My email address is email@example.com. Feel free to contact me if you would like more into.

If you would like, I would like to manage these two memorials....they are my Uncle Floyd's parents.
If they are part of your family I can understand.
My thanks if you do decide to transfer them.

I wanted to thank you for adding the picture of the headstone, if I haven't already. I really appreciate it.
I am so sorry for taking so long to respond.
