I am a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and we are in the process of listing all Confederate Veterans who are buried at Coopers Well, and securing headstones for our veterans. We have gotten the headstones, however, the owners of the property at coopers well, who by the way bulldozed the original headstones years ago (prior owner), will not allow them to be placed on the property (current owner). They are hostile to our cause. We are looking into forcing the issue through the Mississippi Department of Archives and History.
In the mean time, we will be placing individual headstones at the Confederate Cemetery (Cedar Hills) in Vicksburg to honor these brave heroes, on May 28. If we win the suit, we will then place a monument at Coopers Well with all the names of the Veterans on it. This Saturday, April 2, we will have a Memorial Service at the Confederate Cemetery in Raymond and Coopers Well to honor them.
Pvt. Cryer, was with Company C, 27th LA Infantry, C.S.A. if you would like to add that info to his memorial on here.

I am sorry it is unmarked. If it is any consultation to you, there are literally thousands that are unmarked in this cemetery. It was a pleasure to look for it. Thanks, Clayton

In accordance with your request, photos and cemetery record information were uploaded for her.
The cemetery records indicate there is no marker for her husband Oscar Kress 91769276. After a careful search of the immediate area, no marker was found.
