How very kind of you! The stones were leaning against a fence post so we had no idea of the actual location of the graves, but I felt like preservation of the stones was possible and ought to be done. Red Top was most generous to donate the lot for them.
Joseph Fountain, Junior is featured in several professional papers showing his estate as a typical estate for the county and time period. I had a grant one time and did a paper on Young Ewing Hicks, the brother-in-law of Joseph Fountain (brother of Hannah Hicks Fountain) who was a Santa Fe Trail trader. I went back to Kentucky with my former college room mate who is also a descendant of Joseph and Hannah. We spent 9 days searching through original documentation and it was really fascinating to learn about the Fountain/Hicks family in Kentucky. We combed through that state visiting courthouses and cemeteries, etc. I would be glad to send you a copy of the paper if you are interested.
I descend through their son Absalom. How do you fit into the mix?

The system is not set up to link children from the parents' memorials. You need to go to Leland's memorial and make your request to the manager of his memorial.
|Floyd Strader||McBride connections|
while I would not mind making the connections you requested -- I think you have it backwards. You need to have the person who has your gfathers site connect to your ggparents. I cannot connect the way you requested.
|Leon Barton||RE: Ralph Raymond McBride|
You are welcome. I have linked T. Pearl McBride to her parents and also linked her parents together as husband and wife. It is always great to find family.
|Leon Barton||Ralph Raymond McBride|
I am unable to link Ralph Raymond McBride to his parents as I didn't create his memorial. You would have to contact the ones that created his memorial. I can enter his name on the memorials for his parents but it won't show up on Ralph's memorial.

The way the system is set up, links must be made from child to parent, not the opposite. So I can't make that link for you. You should go to her memorial and use the Edit button to ask the manager to make the link and add the maiden name.
Thanks for the information and links.

Welcome to Find A Grave and thanks for those additions! It looks like most of Herman and Anna's family have been linked. If you know where Martha and Mary are buried, it would be nice to complete the family. I think the linking capability on this program really make it a good resource. If you would like to start managing some memorials, I'd be glad to transfer Lydia or others that might be related to you, as they are not our kin.
