Where did you find the pictures of the Freemans that you added to Susan V Scarborough Freeman's memorial? Are you related to her?

RE: Jake Green
Hope, here is my research notes. The main reason I have him Indian is because my grandmother told me her mother was 1/2 Indian and her Father, Jake, was Indian.
If a son is listed Mulatto, he would be part black or part Indian.. both were filled in that way on censuses at times.

Hello, my children's 4th Gr. Grandfather was Wilfred Jake Green and yes he was listed as fighting in the civil war as a wagonmaster and he fought with the Cherokee regiment. Everything I have found on him points to him being a Cherokee Indian. Hope this helped.

Judith Monroe Jackman ~ That photo that dbethel placed there of the Newspaper claiming that she was the sister of James Monroe "4th" [incorrect as he was the 5th] US President is a HOAX...I traced the family line and the parents of James Monroe the 5th US President...they had no daughter named Judith.
