I saw your message to A Horan regarding getting some photos of his grave with the wreathes. She's been extremely busy the past 3 weeks, so the next time I'm at ANC to fulfill photo requests I've claimed, I'll take and post some photos for you. Please don't make a formal photo request.

RE: Hester Cothron
That is so exciting! Thank you for sharing that with me, I'm very happy for you and your mom and the new family connection you've made! I'm glad if I was able to help in some way. The internet is an amazing tool, sometimes...

Thanks again.

You're very welcome for the photos. Yes, the timing of your request coincided with a great weekend for photos there.

Thank you for your nice message! Good luck with the search for the rest of the family.

RE: Jean E Feger Cothron
Ok, here's some more -- the married name of Jean Feger Cothron from some other website. Jean married William Persifal Jones, Jr, and this lists their children:

CHILDREN OF ROBERT FINLEY & MAY JEANNETTE YOUNG GAYLE [Reverend Gayle performed the wedding ceremonies for all his children except for William Wagner Gayle.]
V. CARRIE YOUNG (12/9/1883, Portsmouth, VA - 3/13/1922, Urbanna, VA) married William Persifal (Percy) Jones on 11/25/1909 in Urbanna. A monument to Dr. Jones, a well-loved physician in Urbanna, is located outside the courthouse in Saluda.
Their children were (1) William Persifal Jr. who married Mrs. Jean Feger Cothron and had children Judy Cothron, Jean Meredith, Roberta Finley and William Christopher; (2) May Jeanette who married Boxley Baker and had three children; and (3) Finley Gayle who married Frances McGee. Finley Gayle was killed at Luzon, the Phillipines, in WWII. After Carrie Young Jones died Dr. Jones remarried.

Jean E Feger Cothron
Hi,
If Jean E Feger was the wife of Hester C Cothron, then she was the daughter of Percy and Edna Feger of PA? There is a memorial for Percy Feger on findagrave -- memorial # 67755261. His obituary is listed there, and his daughters both are listed by their married names, which would mean that Jean Feger Cothron remarried within a year of Hester's death (because Percy died in 1944). One of Percy's daughters was Elizabeth, and not sure which of the married names goes with her.

Sorry if this is all info that you already have.

Hester C Cothron at ANC
Hi,
I will be taking photos for you of the stone for Hester C Cothron at Arlington National this weekend. I did find two pieces of information on the internet, which you may already know:

Hester Clark Cothron graduated from Virginia Miltiary Institute in 1937.

1Lt Hester C. Cothron, U.S. Army, died during WWII. He was killed in a Jeep accident on Jan. 14, 1943, at Fort Clark, Texas, while stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

He is listed among the WWII casualties from Jefferson County, KY.

We'll see if his stone gives any further info or if anyone is buried with him. I'll post the photos for you on Monday or Tuesday.

Thanks.
