Fred McCann
Hi, I found at a flea market in Long Beach, CA. a photo of a young man about 18 years old. It was taken about 1900 to 1905 I think. The Photo was taken in Vinton, Iowa. Wondering if this is the same Fred McCann? Born 1885, in 1903 he would have been 18 years old. Would you like for me to post it?

Regards, Duane

Marcea,

All I can say is that according to the 1850 census, she was born ca1811 in Ohio; married James Holton 'Halten' in Clermont Co., OH Dec 23, 1834. They were parents of about seven children.

You are welcome. I was disappointed as well. But it does happen. In some cases the family pitches in and buys a marker.

Erwin C Krueger
Hi,
I found the family in the census for 1930 and also located the applications for military gravemarkers (Ancestry.com). Erwin's father is buried in Concordia Cemetery in Hammond, but so far no one has posted a memorial for him.
I don't remember where I found the military info. I have checked the obits in the local newspapers, but was not able to locate it. I'm working this week, so I don't have time to dig further at this point.

Mary Pring
The only tombstone I could find for a Mary Pring was dated 1859-1913. Could that possibly be the person you are looking for? Barb
