Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Terre Haute, Indiana. I began working on my genealogy in 2012. I have been able to find many ancestors and have met other family members through sites like Find A Grave. I try to help others with pictures and any other information I can uncover. Graves and obituaries have been a very beneficial tool in helping with my family tree, and I would like to help as much as possible with future amateur genealogists and their grave searches.

I have recently been adding relatives to this site, and have contacted several people about transfers of my relatives for the purpose of linking them all together. I would like to thank all the contributors to Find A Grave for creating the memorials. You are providing a wonderful service to all who use the site. I would further like to thank those contributors for being so cordial in the transfer of my relatives. It has become an obsession of mine to put all my relatives' graves on this site all linked together.

With that being said, I am always willing to transfer management of any grave I have created, providing they are not an ancestor of mine, so please ask. Even if they are my relative, I will gladly transfer to anyone closer to that person. I am always willing to pass on any information I have on anyone else's ancestors, so feel free to email me with any questions. If anyone discovers that we have an ancestor in common, I will probably possess and gladly pass on any information I have on that person.

Jeff, I have taken several photo of the Thomas family. I'll have them posted shortly. There's a few I can't find.

Calcutta Thomas Memorials
Hi Jeff! I went ahead and transferred to you the Thomas memorials that I have created. I'm guessing most if not all are a part of your family. Maybe you can figure out where they all fit in.

Oh I see, Uncle Guy and Aunt Ruth are your Grandparents. Wasn't guy the Fuller Brush salesman? Sally would take my daughters(her grandchildren) to visit them both.

The book also provides the plots, sections and row numbers to help locate the headstones, along with inscriptions on the stones that have those.

Are you any relation to the (Gerald and Ellen) Thomas family who owned and operated the store in Lena?

Having walked thru the entire cemetery so often... I feel like I know most of these people.

RE: Pearl Payne and Margaret Thomas
I had the same prroblem with a relative of mine. For instance, I know my relative, Wellington Peach is buried there... I have the 1894 obituary that listed this as his place of resting. The problem is, according to the people at Clay County Genealogical Society, that there was either no stone for him or the stone has been weathered so badly, it cannot be read. The same can be assumed for anyone not listed in the book I spoke of. This does NOT mean that our family members aren't there... it means no one knows exactly where they are in the cemetery.

The link for this book is at ingenweb.org where the Clay county cemeteries are listed and then scroll all the way to the bottom. The link will open into a lengthy pdf file. There are descriptions of the hard to read stones. I hope this helps.
