correction
Sorry I made a mistake..

ABEL WHITE served in the American Revoultion with Reuben Searl . Abel's daughter Rebecca White would marry Reuben's son Nathanial Searl .

Abel White's son , Daniel White served in Ezekial Blue's regiment in Ohio during the War of 1812 . Wyatt Chmaberlin also seved in the same unit . Wyatt Chamberlin as you know married Daniels White's sister Mary White .

I also checked my notes , if you do not believe in the Mayflower White ancestry theory... the other proposed " White " line is that ABEL WHITE was the son of Nicholas White ad wife Sarah ( King ).

again , it depends on what line you choose to believe...

I have the Nicholas White line if you want it....send me your regular email and I will forward it ...

RE: We are related.
Hello ,

the WHITE line has been difficult for me as well. The Nelson Evans book of Scioto County has the " White " family traced back to the Peregrine White of the" Mayflower " Whites . however the Mayflower Society does not accept this line , and says it is incorrect .

If you go by the Mayflower line, Able White's father is SETH WHITE , and his father is Nehemiah White...and son oin back to the Mayflower .

ABEL WHITE came to Scioto County by 1812..he shows up on the War of 1812 Ezekial Blue's regiment during War of 1812... I am not certain of his parents...He shows up in the 1810 Census of Addison ( NY or Vermont )...I think his father is Nicholas White...

let me check my notes...

RE: Mary Chamberlain's Headstone
Hello ,

A couple months ago , Melvin Williams and I had tried to find CHAMBERLIN CEMETERY , without any Luck . Melvin had been to the Cemetery some 20 years ago , but On that day He could not find it .

A couple Days ago , Melvin called me and said that HE found the Cemetery , and said he found ( 9 ) gravestones out of the ( 12 ) Gravestones that are known to be there . He sent me these ( 2 ) , Wyatt Chamberlin & wife Mary ( White ) Chamberlin . Mary ( White ) Chamberlin was the sister of my 4 x Gr. Grandfather Daniel White ( see Shumway Cem. Scioto Co. Ohio )..

Melvin Williams deserves the Credit in finding the Cemetery . We are planning to go back , the Cemetery is in the woods and the brush has taken over . some stones are broken , buried , etc. We will be taking weed trimmer , shovel , mattock , rake etc...to get the job done.

Weather permitting we should be able to take better photos of the Cemetery soon .

keep you posted.
