Joseph Ross
I live in the vicinity of Ascension Chapel Cemetery in Tripp County, South Dakota. I visited there recently with intentions of taking a photo of the gravesite of Joseph Ross, however, I could not find it ...but that was probably due to the fact that there was quite a few snow drifts, especially in the area where most of the Ross burials are. I will visit with the folks that have the cemetery records and find out where the gravesite is for certain and take a photo when the snow is gone and I can get back over there. Rest assured, I will get the photo for you. Yvonne Hollenbeck

RE: Forest HIll Eau Claire
Laura, I checked the city index for Forest Hills and Lakeview.

There are 5 Oscar Johnson's buried over at Lakeview but none in Forest Hill. No Ella Anderson is listed in the index either. There is 4 Charles Anderson's, 3 are at Lakeview and the 4th is in Block 9 lot 3 buried in 1920 at Forest Hill. This Charles would be near Christine in Block 10. There is only a stone for a Robert Anderson and another for a Lucy Anderson showing in block 9. (46 stones in block 9)No stone for this this Charles.

In block 10 there are 49 stones. There is a whole Johnson family in block 10 but no Oscar. (Olivia, Ole, Flora, Hattie, Orrin, Harold P, Mahala G, and Marvin O) I checked block 8 and no Johnson's or Anderson's in those 36 stones. Block 11 has 44 Anderson's or Johnson's.

RE: Forest Hill Cemetery
p.s. I'm making the assumption that you mean Eau Claire's Forest Hill Cemetery not Chippewa Falls Forest Hill Cemetery (there are two)

RE: Forest Hill Cemetery
Laura; I can, but I walked the ENTIRE cemetery and posted every stone that was available this past year. The only ones that wouldn't be on the sight are anything new stones laid in the past year from new deaths after I finished or completed a section. (one other thing is I did not enter any of the family crypts, so only the large crypt would be on the site) Also, there's still a ton of snow on the ground in Eau Claire and it will probably be several weeks before the ground is available for stone hunting. I will be back in Eau Claire from our vacation home by the 20th of April if you still need me to look for something.
