duplicate acct for Cornelius
Thank you got notifying me of my duplicate acct for Ms Margie Vaughn Cornelius. Myself and a few other volunteers have been trying for a year now to get the original acct creator to move the accts to the correct cemetery with no success or communication at all. We are all willing to delete our duplicate accts as soon as she corrects this. So far no luck. We collectively decided to leave ours up since we are maintaining our accts and making links for ppl or transferring. Thank you again. I'm happy to transfer her acct to you if you are related, as I am not. Maria

RE: Tommie L. Couey
I am not familiar with the Couey Family.

I checked the Altoona-Walnut Grove cemetery listing and brought it up-to-date using a more current listing from a cemetery book.

I added some new information to one or two families that I did know. Sorry, wish I could help more.

P.S. You asked about "SS". That means "same stone" two names listed on a gravemarker.

RE: Thank You
I thank you for your kind words - they are appreciated more than you know! To me, ALL my entries are "family" and I try to treat each one as I'd want my personal family treated. Everyone deserves to be remembered.

George Washington Vaughn
I have told you before that my info on this man is correct and that he died in civil war hospital.

His wife Sarah only had 7 children and only three were living at the 1900 census where she is living with her daughter at the time of her death.

Family bible is also in reference to his untimely death.

The other man by the same name is in the 1880 census with a wife Sarah but many children.

Bowman cemetery
Didn't see answer to question so No. Mt. Carmel cemetery is in Pell City AL and Bowman cemetery is in the Eden AL (now part of Pell City). I am a Bowman descendant. Joseph Bowman, son of Zachariah Bowman Jr. was my grandfather.

RE: George Washington Vaughn
Vagabond;
That must be another George Vaughn living at the time of the 1880 census because Sarah Jane is shown as a widow at the time of the 1880 census living with her daughter Savannah in Campbell county Georgia.

Thank you for catching my typo. This is also a surname in my husbands distant family marrying into the Gilliland line but no known relation to her.
